Police officers from the criminal investigation department arrested a man suspected of possessing a large quantity of drugs. The suspect is a 34-year-old resident of Lubin. Officers seized amphetamine that could have been used to prepare nearly 1,000 doses of the drug.
The arrest took place on August 24 in Lubin. Officers determined that the man might possess large quantities of narcotic substances. When the officers became certain that the evidence collected in the case largely confirmed their findings, they stopped the car driven by the suspect for inspection. They found amphetamine in the vehicle.
The suspect was taken into police custody. Officers are currently clarifying the circumstances of the entire case in detail, including where the suspect obtained the narcotic substances and on what scale he was distributing them. The prosecutor charged the 34-year-old man with possessing and trafficking drugs. The Lubin resident has already been remanded in custody for three months. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
