Police officers from the Legnica traffic unit spotted a Fiat Seicento travelling through the streets of Legnica. They decided to stop it for inspection. A distinct smell of alcohol came from the car’s driver, but the man spoke clearly, which somewhat surprised the officers, because he had 3.72‰ of alcohol in his system. It is worth remembering that 4‰ is considered a lethal dose.
What is more, it turned out that the man had driven from Jawor, where he caused damage in a car park and left the scene. Police officers will check whether he was already under the influence of alcohol at that time. The 46-year-old driver lost his driving licence. He faces up to two years in prison.
