Police officers from the Prevention Department of the Legnica police headquarters received information while on patrol that thieves were probably on the premises of a car workshop. The officers immediately went to the location and caught a 29-year-old man from Legnica red-handed. The perpetrator was allegedly targeting car parts, equipment and tools used in vehicle mechanics, as well as gas cylinders and wheels with alloy rims located on the property. According to the owner, the value of the property recovered by the Legnica officers was PLN 12,350.
The arrested thief had already been in trouble with the law. The 29-year-old was placed under police supervision. The repeat offender could now face up to 7.5 years in prison.
