Officers from the Zgorzelec traffic unit were carrying out checks in the Węgliniec municipality. In Jagodzin, where the speed limit is 40 km/h, a car driver was travelling at 140 km/h (!). What is more, he ignored an officer attempting to stop him for a check and began to flee.

While fleeing, he performed many dangerous manoeuvres, including forcing drivers travelling in the opposite direction to move onto the shoulder. After several kilometres, the officers stopped the road pirate, who turned out to be a 40-year-old resident of Dąbrowa Górnicza. The man's behaviour aroused the officers' suspicions about his sobriety. It turned out that he was under the influence of drugs.

The 40-year-old driver from Dąbrowa Górnicza, who exceeded the speed limit by 100 km/h in Jagodzin (Węgliniec municipality), now faces up to two years in prison.
