The incident occurred on Wolności Street at around 10:00 p.m. A patrol of the Jelenia Góra Municipal Guard (a guard officer and a rescue-trained guard officer) went to the vicinity of number 15, where an unconscious person was reportedly lying on the pavement.
At the scene, the guards found a young man lying down. After first aid was administered, the 26-year-old regained consciousness. There was no smell of alcohol coming from the injured man, but his pupils were dilated and contact with him was difficult: he could not say where he was or identify the day of the week.
The man admitted to smoking drugs. An ambulance was called to the scene. Until the ambulance arrived, the guards prevented the injured man from losing consciousness again and monitored his vital signs.
The 26-year-old was taken to hospital.
