These acts often occur in places that, as a rule, are intended to serve the youngest residents of our city. Monitoring repeatedly records people casually consuming alcohol in areas where it is prohibited. This happens in the afternoon and evening hours, as well as in the morning. Recently, such situations occurred twice on May 9, in the municipal park.
In the following days, similar offenses also occurred in the Market Square. Fines were handed out.
– We remind you that, pursuant to the Act on Upbringing in Sobriety and Counteracting Alcoholism, consuming alcohol in prohibited places carries a fine of PLN 100. It should also be pointed out that attempting to consume alcohol is punishable as well – say the Bolesławiec municipal police officers.
They add: – Interventions concerning alcohol consumption in prohibited places, especially in parks, also serve a preventive role by stopping people from committing other prohibited acts, such as property damage, which occurs much more frequently after alcohol has been consumed.
