The incident occurred on 15 May. Police officers from the Zgorzelec traffic police unit carried out checks in the Zgorzelec municipality. In Koźmin, they stopped the driver of a passenger car who was travelling at 136 km/h. The driver, who exceeded the speed limit in a built-up area by nearly 90 km/h, turned out to be a 27-year-old man.
In this situation, the police officers could make only one decision. The driver lost his driving privileges for three months and was also fined PLN 500 and received 10 penalty points.
