Police officers from the Criminal Division of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra identified and then detained a 24-year-old man suspected of burglaries and an attempted burglary of kiosks.
According to investigators, the suspect committed three property-related crimes in Jelenia Góra at the turn of April and May. The 24-year-old broke into and robbed two kiosks, and attempted to break into another one but was scared off. He stole property worth tens of thousands of zlotys. The stolen items included cigarettes, cash and telephone cards.
Police are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail and checking what happened to the stolen property. It is possible that the Jelenia Góra resident has committed more offences of this kind.
The man may now face up to 10 years in prison.
