The tournament was attended by 10 teams from primary schools and lower secondary schools in Zgorzelec County. In addition to theoretical knowledge of road traffic regulations, the contestants had to demonstrate practical skills on a cycling obstacle course.
In the primary school category, the winner was Szkoła Podstawowa im. Polskiego Czerwonego Krzyża in Opolno-Zdrój (team members: Emil Ploch, Jakub Stępień, Marcelina Makarewicz, Karolina Kaczmarczyk). The competition in the lower secondary school category was won by the team from Gimnazjum nr 2 in Bogatynia (team members: Zuzanna Czerniawska, Dawid Olejniczak, Justyna Sławińska).
The teams taking part in the competition and the winning teams received commemorative diplomas and material prizes.
– We warmly congratulate all tournament participants on their extensive theoretical knowledge of road traffic regulations and their practical skills, and we wish the winners further success – said officers from Zgorzelec.
The District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec co-organized the competition. The teams that took first place in their respective categories will take part in the regional Road Safety Tournament, which will be held in Jelenia Góra.
