Police officers from the Economic Crime Department of the Lubin police headquarters detained a 53-year-old doctor. The man is suspected of issuing false medical certificates confirming fitness for work.
As a result of operational work and based on the information they had gathered, officers established that one of the doctors from Wrocław was issuing false medical certificates. Anyone who went to him left the office after five minutes with the required certificate. The fee? 100 złoty.
During the proceedings, it came to light that the man did not have the authorization to issue certificates as part of so-called occupational medicine.
The doctor from Wrocław has already been charged. Officers determined that the suspect had issued at least a dozen false certificates. His clients came from across Lower Silesia.
He now faces up to 8 years in prison.
