Police officers from the Bolesławiec traffic unit arrested a motorcyclist after a chase. The pursuit began in Golnice (Bolesławiec municipality). 25-year-old from Lubań, carrying a 21-year-old passenger, a resident of Zgorzelec, fled from police officers, repeatedly violating the applicable regulations. Among other things, in a 40 km/h zone he was travelling at 115 km/h, overtook at a pedestrian crossing and an intersection, and while negotiating bends crossed into the opposite lane, crossing a double solid line. Driving in this manner, he forced other road users to brake sharply and pull onto the roadside.
The speeding offender was arrested at the roundabout near the Kaufland supermarket. A court will decide his further fate. The 25-year-old may face a driving ban of up to three years and a fine of up to PLN 5,000.
