The Construction School Complex published good news on Facebook this evening. The hawk has been found. It was starving but healthy. The reward will go to Mr Krzysztof, who spotted the bird.
Wonderful news at the start of the long weekend:
MAREK’S HAWK FOUND!!! :D
It is with great joy that we announce that the most sought-after bird in the county, a Harris’s hawk belonging to our student, is now safe. It was captured near Przejęsław, approximately 6 km from where it disappeared. Mr Krzysztof spotted it; he had heard about the search and contacted Marek’s mother.
The bird is safe and healthy. It was very hungry. It had been flying all the time with a cord attached to its leg (a green line).
The PLN 1,000 reward, funded by the Construction School Complex community, will be awarded next week by the school principal. Although surprised by the reward, Mr Krzysztof stressed that the most important thing for him was being able to help.
On behalf of Marek, his parents and the entire ZSB community, we would like to thank everyone involved in the search, as well as the local news portals that shared our appeal :)
We are happy together with Marek that the bird has been found.
