One element of the KrimiTech project is preventive action, including meetings with residents, tourists and entrepreneurs, during which information and materials are provided on ways to secure vehicles and how to act in situations involving the risk of theft.

The initiatives carried out as part of the project are intended to strengthen residents’ trust in border areas in cooperation between the police forces of both countries, improve the effectiveness of combating crime and help reduce cross-border vehicle crime.
