The fact that the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality has rich copper deposits has been discussed for a long time. It was also mentioned that the deposit at the former Konrad mine has not yet been fully exploited.

In 2009–2010, the first drillings were carried out in Wartowice. The result? It turned out that there really are copper resources there—and substantial ones at that. What is more, considerable silver resources were also discovered.

The most important drillings in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality were completed approximately two years ago. Economic analyses are now being conducted, concerning the content of copper, silver and even gold ore. Additional drillings are also being carried out to determine the location of the mine infrastructure that will probably be built here.

There may also be exploratory drillings in the area of the former Konrad mine. Does this mean that copper mining will resume in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality? Let us hope that this is what happens. We will return to the subject.
