The collected materials indicate that on 2 April, in the morning, passers-by noticed a VW Sharan parked in the centre of Bolesławiec. The engine was running, and two young men were inside the vehicle.
Police officers who arrived at the scene found that one of the men, Krystian S., showed no signs of life, while the other, Marcin W., was unconscious.
An emergency physician immediately provided medical assistance to Marcin W., who was then transported to hospital, and pronounced Krystian S. dead.
An inspection was conducted at the scene, and a procedural experiment was carried out in the presence of a prosecutor. It established that the vehicle had a damaged exhaust system.
The actions carried out so far, including the autopsy of the deceased, indicate that his death resulted from carbon monoxide poisoning.
The proceedings are ongoing, and further procedural actions are being carried out to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
We will return to this subject.
