Based on thorough surveillance, officers identified a property where drugs might have been produced. Their suspicions were confirmed—they found a methamphetamine production line there. When the officers entered, the equipment was operating and producing the highly addictive substance, also known as “piko.”

The officers also found white crystalline substances hidden in various places. Initial tests confirmed that it was methamphetamine. In addition to the drugs, precursors used to produce narcotic substances were also secured.

The police seized several hundred doses of the finished drug in total, preventing it from reaching the market, and detained a 59-year-old man suspected of producing narcotic substances. The man has already been charged.

At the prosecutor’s request, the suspect was remanded in custody. He could face up to 15 years in prison.
