During the exercise, the crew of the squadron command post honed its skills in solving tactical problems while planning and organizing operations.
The exercise continued the Kaczawa-16 staff training conducted in the regiment at the beginning of March this year. It was also part of preparations for participation in the Anakonda-16 tactical exercise with troops, led by the Operational Commander of the Armed Forces Branches, and for the main training activities of the 11th Armoured Cavalry Division: the Bóbr-16 and Borsuk-16 exercises.
On 14 March, the exercise was launched by the regiment commander, Col. Paweł Świtalski, who highlighted its main objectives and the most important training issues scheduled for the participants. Then, after discussing safety conditions, the exercise director, Lt. Col. Sławomir Kula, handed the commander of the exercising subunit the combat order initiating practical activity.
Over three days of intensive work, the command-post staff of the 3rd Rocket Artillery Squadron, under the command of Lt. Col. Piotr Kobyłecki, solved tactical problems arising from the assigned task and prepared the required planning and operational documents. It carried out the operational planning process, whose final result was the selection of the optimal course of action, the issuance of the combat order by the commander of the 3rd Rocket Artillery Squadron, and the conduct of synchronization. Throughout the exercise, the work of the artillery squadron staff officers was assessed by the exercise leadership.
The final element of the exercise was reconnaissance of the area of future operations, during which the areas for deploying command posts, the areas for stationing subunits, and the routes for movement and maneuver were verified and refined. On the afternoon of the third day, the results of the work by the personnel of the 3rd Rocket Artillery Squadron were summarized. During the initial briefing, the regiment commander and the exercise leadership officers immediately shared their observations and conclusions, as well as areas requiring improvement.
The three-day exercise was part of preparations for further field-training activities, particularly its final event: the Nawała-16 Fire Control Training exercise.
