The arrest took place in one of the apartments in Lubin. The suspect was completely surprised to see the police officers. In his apartment, the officers found marijuana hidden in a specially designated room, as well as equipment used for growing it.
In total, the officers seized nearly one and a half kilograms of marijuana, as well as 50 plants in the final stage of development. (They could have been used to produce approximately 2.5 kg of the finished drug.) The suspect was taken into police custody.
The man from Lubin explained that he had lost his job and was strongly addicted, so, in order not to pay others, he decided to establish his own marijuana growing operation. He planted and tended the plants himself and created suitable conditions for growing them.
He now faces up to three years in prison.
