Four drivers stopped for roadside checks by Bolesławiec police officers over the past weekend lost their driving licences. The road pirates were driving far too fast in an area where the speed limit is 50 km/h.
A 41-year-old woman from Bogatynia was stopped for a roadside check after exceeding the speed limit by 55 km/h. A 41-year-old resident of Lwówek County also significantly exceeded the speed limit while driving in Bolesławiec municipality—by as much as 62 km/h.
A 40-year-old resident of Sosnowiec was driving through Bolesławiec at 105 km/h, while a 28-year-old driver, travelling in Nowogrodziec municipality, where he lives, exceeded the speed limit by 53 km/h.
All four drivers lost their driving licences for a period of three months. For the offences, police officers also issued them with fines of PLN 500 each. The drivers’ penalty-point totals will also increase by 10 points.
