The incident took place during the night of February 29 to March 1 this year. The thieves stole various power tools worth more than 10,000 zlotys from a building under renovation. They were so greedy that they were unable to take all the loot at once. They appeared at the scene of the crime twice.
Police officers from the Bolesławiec command detained one of the suspects after just a few hours. What is more, in the 31-year-old’s apartment they found some of the stolen items.
The remaining items, as it turned out, had been sold at a pawn shop in a neighboring county. The officers also recovered this property and detained the second suspect, a 29-year-old.
Both detainees admitted to the crime. They face up to five years in prison.
