Officers from the police station in Warta Bolesławiecka and the police station in Kruszyn detained a man suspected of robbery involving the use of a knife as a result of operational activities.
The incident occurred last weekend in January this year in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality. At the time, an unidentified perpetrator entered a shop and, threatening to use a knife, demanded that the shop assistant hand over alcohol. His loot was a bottle worth... 9 zlotys.
As a result of operational activities conducted in the case and an analysis of surveillance footage, police officers identified and detained a man suspected of committing the offence. He turned out to be a 33-year-old resident of Bolesławiec who was wanted by the court – he is to serve a 10-month prison sentence for making criminal threats.
The man confessed to the alleged offence. The court ordered his temporary detention for three months.
The 33-year-old faces up to 15 years in prison.
