Police officers from the Criminal Department of Police Station I in Jelenia Góra identified and subsequently arrested a 33-year-old man suspected of robbery.
The incident occurred in mid-December last year in Jelenia Góra, immediately after the victim left a casino. The man was attacked by an assailant and then robbed.
The robber took a wallet containing money, documents, a bank card, a mobile phone and glasses. The victim estimated his total losses at more than PLN 1,000. It also emerged that the 33-year-old used the victim’s card four times to pay for purchases in shops in Jelenia Góra.
The victim notified the police about the incident. Based on the information obtained and an analysis of surveillance footage, officers identified the 33-year-old as a suspect in the commission of the crime.
The suspect was detained in police custody. Officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail. The 33-year-old may face up to 12 years in prison.
