As part of this task—preparing the Preparatory Service Training Centre for the National Reserve Forces—the structure of the training battalion was established and personnel were selected to train the trainees. The training infrastructure and logistical support for candidates undertaking preparatory service were also prepared.
An instructors’ and methodology course, held on 4–5 January this year, was one of the preparations for the start of training. The course, led by the commander of the training battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Tomasz Lisiecki, was intended to prepare platoon and squad commanders to organise and conduct programme classes, taking into account the specific nature of training for preparatory-service trainees. The participants included commanders designated to conduct training from the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, the 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade, the 17th Wielkopolska Mechanised Brigade and the 4th Zielona Góra Anti-Aircraft Regiment.
The first preparatory-service training session of this year will be attended by 250 trainees. They will come to Bolesławiec from various regions of the country, although residents of Lower Silesia and Lubusz Voivodeship will make up the core group of candidates for service in the National Reserve Forces.
