On November 25, before 11 p.m., security at a hypermarket in the Ustronie housing estate in Lubin notified the duty officer at the Lubin police headquarters that two people were breaking into a food-service establishment located beneath the market. After prying open the security shutter, the burglars managed to enter the premises.
Prevention division patrols immediately went to the scene. By then, the perpetrators had left the premises, but they had not managed to get very far. Police cars arrived. When they saw the officers, the burglars tried to flee. They were detained after a brief pursuit.
It turned out that the perpetrators were a 17-year-old female resident of Lubin and a 21-year-old man from Lubin, whose haul amounted to... approximately PLN 15.
Both were taken to the detention facility at the Lubin police headquarters. They face up to 10 years in prison.
