Today, at the headquarters of the Bolesławiec County State Fire Service, a ceremonial farewell was held for Deputy Commander Jerzy Kieler, who is retiring.

The ceremony was attended by: Senior Brigadier Andrzej Szcześniak – Deputy Lower Silesian Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service in Wrocław; Brigadier Zdzisław Wnęk – Head of the Operations Department of the Provincial State Fire Service Headquarters in Wrocław; Cezary Przybylski; Piotr Roman; Warta Bolesławiecka Commune Head Mirosław Haniszewski; Osiecznica Commune Council Chair Wanda Abram; Bolesławiec County State Fire Service Commander, Junior Brigadier Grzegorz Kocon; and officers of the Bolesławiec County State Fire Service.

Junior Captain Jerzy Kieler, who is retiring, is a figure widely known to the people of the Bolesławiec area. He worked for the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec, cooperated with fire protection units in neighboring counties, particularly Volunteer Fire Service units, and conducted educational activities among young people. Numerous Fire Safety Knowledge Tournaments that he organized are evidence of this.

During his 26 years of service, Jerzy Kieler repeatedly proved that he was not only a good firefighter but, above all, a good person. Many firefighter-rescuers owe their skills to him. Jerzy Kieler's competence is also appreciated at the level of the Lower Silesian Provincial State Fire Service Headquarters.
