The duty officer at the Lubin police station received a report from a resident of the Przylesie estate about the theft of a petrol-powered saw. As it turned out, the injured Lubin resident had driven up to his house, parked his car, taken the saw out of the garage and briefly gone inside the house.

The moment was used by a man passing by who, taking advantage of the fact that nobody was on the property, entered it, stole the saw and left. He did not expect his act to be recorded by a camera installed in the parked car.

The perpetrator turned out to be a 35-year-old Lubin resident known to the police, who already has property-related offences on his record. The thief was detained and faces up to five years in prison.
