Bolesłavia, with 1,648 points, finished 11th in the country. The best athlete on our team was Mateusz Tofil, who cleared 2.07 m in the high jump, improving his personal best by as much as 4 cm. Wojciech Karaban ran an excellent 2 km steeplechase (6:00.27), missing the six-minute mark and the qualifying standard for the first sports class by just 0.27 seconds. Kacper Olszewski did not disappoint, recording 45.62 m in the discus throw, while Dawid Kopała achieved 55.71 m in his specialist event, the hammer throw.

“Unfortunately, for various reasons, several of our athletes could not support us in Zielona Góra. I think that if we had competed with our strongest lineup, we would have fought for a place in the top five, because the results achieved by, among others, Mateusz Tofil and Wojciech Karaban are very valuable, and we can look to the future with confidence. I thank everyone for their fight and determination. Our relay teams deserve special thanks; often competing in experimental lineups, they helped the club achieve such a high position,” said MKS Bolesłavia president Bartosz Gruman.

The official celebrations will take place on 7 November 2015 at the Forum cinema in Bolesławiec. On this occasion, the Club’s management plans to publish an MKS Bolesłavia monograph, produce T-shirts and a film about Bolesławiec’s queen of sport, and update the website.
