Various types of grain, rowan berries, grasses, sea lavender, flowers and herbs—all of these created several beautiful and, most importantly, unique compositions at the Community Center in Kraśnik Dolny, under the watchful eye of Krystyna Klisiewicz and Anetta Kamińska. The women who had never created such compositions before then got to work.
Those who think that creating a wreath from grain and flowers is easy are mistaken. The process differs significantly from the one some people may remember from childhood, when they wove wreaths from wildflowers. In the case of larger compositions, it is necessary to create a base from twigs, to which subsequent elements are added. Importantly, the flowers, grain and herbs are not glued but tied together. It is worth remembering that the grain must first be harvested at the right time and dried properly.
The results exceeded the wildest expectations. After two hours, the women had finished their work and the colorful wreaths were ready. As the workshop participants emphasize, the satisfaction gained from such work is immense, and there is no shortage of fun and laughter either.
