At the end of July, officers from the Prevention Department of the Zgorzelec District Police Headquarters noticed a delivery van with German registration plates parked on the outskirts of the city. When he saw the police car, the driver of the vehicle tried to drive away quickly. The officers decided to check why.
It turned out that there were two Germans in the vehicle, aged 28 and 29. Initially, they claimed that they had got lost. However, Zgorzelec police officers determined that the car had been stolen in Germany. The delivery van, worth PLN 100,000, was secured, while those inside it were taken into police custody.
The officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case.
