The participants who completed the course received certificates confirming its completion. The certificates were presented to the participants by the Municipal Police Commander in Jelenia Góra, Insp. Zbigniew Markowski.
The practical classes took place in the gymnasium of the Inter-School Sports Center in Jelenia Góra. During the very first classes, the participants practiced basic self-defense techniques. The course also included sessions with a police psychologist, a prosecutor from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Jelenia Góra, and a crime prevention officer from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra.
The main aim of the self-defense course is to prepare its participants mentally and physically to avoid or, if necessary, repel a direct attack on their life or health.
Due to the high level of interest in the course, another edition will probably be held in the autumn of this year.
