A 43-year-old rally participant, driving a Ford Fiesta, failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions and hit a roadside streetlamp, followed by a garden wall.

As a result of the impact, part of the streetlamp fell onto a 30-year-old German citizen. The man was taken to hospital.

On the same day – as reported by the TVN24.pl portal – a car caught fire on the sixth special stage of the Karkonosze Rally. Peugeot driver Radosław Typa suffered burns to his face, while co-driver Daniel Siatkowski suffered burns to his hands. Both were taken to hospital.
