The combined-events athletes competed brilliantly over two days and, after a grueling battle, won two medals. Damian Gradzik won silver in the junior category (5,789 points), while his younger teammate Piotr Gadziński won bronze (5,314 points). Both are coached by Bartosz Gruman. Among the other athletes coached by him, Marcelina Drozdek won gold in the 800 m in the youth category (2:34.94), while Kacper Popławski won bronze in the 400 m hurdles (59.52 s) in the younger junior category.
The athlete coached by Ryszard Posacki Aleksandra Niezgoda is in excellent form at the start of the season; she won the 100 m race (12.78 s) in the girls’ youth category.
Natalia Łomańska competed brilliantly in the youngest age category. Improving her personal best once again in the 600 m, she won gold (1:55.41). Natalia trains under coach Dariusz Łomański. Among this coach’s other athletes, Piotr Posłuszny won gold in the 100 m (12.16 s) and silver in the 200 m (25.04 s) in the youth category. Among the juniors, Mateusz Kopeć won silver in the 2,000 m steeplechase (6:32.51), while Patryk Modras won bronze in the 400 m (53.26 s).
The pursuit of the qualifying standard for the European Junior Championships has begun for Ewa Ochocka, who confidently won the 400 m hurdles (61.24 s). Ewa is coached by Małgorzata Markowska.
Following in the footsteps of last year’s Polish younger-junior champion, Wojtek Karaban, is Tobiasz Burzyński, who won gold in the 2,000 m steeplechase (6:27.55).
Continuing the family tradition is Martyna Goss. The sister of Maćek Goss, last year’s Polish champion in the 400 m hurdles, she took third place in the 100 m hurdles (16.50 s) in the girls’ youth category. In the same distance, her older teammate Monika Chmielik won gold in the junior category (16.28 s). They are all coached by Małgorzata Markowska.
As usual, Tomasz Markowski’s athletes return from major competitions with medals. Dawid Borysewicz (12.93 m) and Gracjan Kozak (10.86 m) took the top two places in the youth shot put. Dawid also won silver in the javelin throw (44.18 m), while his teammate Eryk Stec won bronze (41.64 m). Dominik Stec did not disappoint, confidently winning the javelin throw (54.78 m) in the younger junior category.
Outside the events held as part of the Olympics, Beata Dąbal won two events, taking first place in the shot put (11.88 m) and discus throw (36.36 m).
