Legnica police received information about the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl on May 4, at around 8 a.m. Her mother reported that her daughter had disappeared early in the morning.
Initial findings indicated that the girl might be in a situation posing a threat to her life or health. Police officers from nearly all departments of the Legnica police force joined the search operation. They visited the girl's friends, hospitals and school, and began searching the nearby forests.
What is more, additional officers who were off duty that day were called in. A tracking dog was also used.
One patrol found the missing girl in Środa County. The teenager was hiding... in the attic of a building belonging to her friend. She was handed over to an ambulance crew.
