Students of II LO: Anna Szweda, Roksana Piskorowska, Michalina Kuduk, Martyna Stasiak, Gabriela Zarzycka, Marcelina Chuchro, Klaudia Wilk and Aneta Szczudlik will perform in Izabella Daniel’s play. In addition to the actresses, Anna Fecyk, Paulina Bartków, Piotr Kopeć, Wojciech Piela and Kacper Jędrzejewski are involved in producing the play.
The high school students chose the women’s roles themselves; for some of them, they even aged themselves with the help of advice from theatrical makeup artists on the Internet. In choosing their roles, the girls were primarily guided by the technical possibilities of portraying a particular character and embodying the eight titular women.
The excellent productions staged by the drama club are a hallmark of II Liceum Ogólnokształcące. The premiere of “The Miser,” performed by students of the Janusz Korczak High School in Bolesławiec, took place on April 4, 2014, at the Old Theatre. The venue was packed. Anyone who, for some reason, could not attend the premiere of one of the most famous comedies of all time had every reason to regret it.
The drama club’s supervisor is Izabella Daniel, a French teacher and the director of all the productions. This time, she invites everyone to a light, comedic play promising plenty of fun.
