On 24 April 2026, a ceremonial gala for graduating students was held in the hall of the Janusz Korczak II General Secondary School in Bolesławiec. The event was attended by fourth-year students completing their education, teachers, parents and invited guests.

It was a special moment to reflect on several years of learning, memories and the successes achieved by this year’s graduates. The ceremony had a solemn character, but it also included emotional moments and warm words addressed to the students.

The event was attended by representatives of local government and the uniformed services. The guests included, among others, councillor Alina Zarembecka, a member of the Bolesławiec County Board; councillor Julia Lisiecka-Sarbak, chairwoman of the Education, Health and Social Assistance Committee of the County Council, as well as representatives of the military, police and other institutions.

During his speech, the school principal thanked the authorities of Bolesławiec County for their support of the school. He also expressed his appreciation to the teachers and employees of the secondary school for their daily work and commitment.

One of the gala’s most important moments was the presentation of awards to students who achieved the highest academic results. The honourees included:

  • Dominik Kida – average 5.33
  • Sylwia Makieła – 5.13
  • Julia Grzesiak – 5.13
  • Oliwia Woźniak – 5.00
  • Milena Rajczakowska – 4.87
  • Eryk Sikora – 4.81
  • Oliwia Zadora – 4.75
  • Paulina Wątruch – 4.75/

The highest distinction – the title of Graduate of the Year – was awarded to Dominik Kida, who achieved the highest grade average among all this year’s graduating students.

Awards were also presented to students who represented the school in subject olympiads, academic competitions, sports competitions, sports and defence events, and volunteer activities.

Special thanks were extended to the form tutors of the graduating classes. The following were honoured: Monika Zakaszewska, Gracja Słotwińska, Anna Myśliwiec, Agata Pokładek, Małgorzata Kędziora and Michał Król.

At the end, the principal wished the graduates success not only during their final exams, but also in adult life and in pursuing their future plans.
