On 13 April, at around 9:25 p.m., officers from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra went to Radomierz. A 22-year-old woman told the officers that an unknown perpetrator had smashed a window in her car and stolen the vehicle registration certificate and a sweater.

The police officers who arrived at the scene noticed a suspiciously behaving man near the local production plant, located opposite the scene of the incident. They went toward him and detained him. The 26-year-old resident of Wrocław admitted to breaking into two more cars parked at the plant (he stole... glasses and a radio from them).

It turned out that the 26-year-old was drunk. He had 1.3 per mille of alcohol in his system. What is more, the detainee told the officers that he had thrown away the stolen items... because he did not need them, and that he had damaged the cars and broken into them after an argument with his girlfriend.

The losses were estimated at more than PLN 2,000. The resident of Wrocław faces up to 10 years in prison.
