– I am pleased that we could meet in this group on the day preceding the most important holidays of the year. Easter is very important to us, the soldiers of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade, because it bears witness to perseverance in pursuit and consistency in achieving an intended goal, so that what was meant to be fulfilled as a result of this consistent effort may be fulfilled. It is extremely important for us—soldiers and military employees—to build self-awareness and our own moral backbone, and then translate all of this into consistency and courage in pursuing our intended goals in accordance with righteous conduct. I wish you all the best: may this time pass in good health and peace of mind—said the commander of the Świętoszów brigade, Colonel Maciej Jabłoński.
The Easter meeting, traditionally held at the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade Military Club in Świętoszów, was attended, in addition to Colonel Jabłoński and his wife, the Świętoszów subunit commanders and department heads, and military employees, by guests who support the Świętoszów brigade. Among them were representatives of local authorities, led by the head of Osiecznica Municipality, Waldemar Nalazek, and the Świętoszów village head, Andrzej Juryta.
Those present at the meeting also included the Bolesławiec County State Fire Service commander, Senior Brigadier Grzegorz Kocon; the county police commander, Inspector Henryk Stefanko; the Świętoszów Forest District manager, Wojciech Moskaluk; the director of the School Complex in Świętoszów, Krystyna Kozak; as well as the commander of the 43rd Military Economic Unit, Colonel Tomasz Hoffman; a representative of the Military Police Branch in Żagań, Major Artur Sławek; and a representative of the Commando Association, Bogdan Fijałkowski.
In accordance with Christian tradition, the chaplain of the Świętoszów brigade, Reverend Major Rafał Kaproń, who was present at the ceremony, blessed the prepared eggs and food and read a letter addressed to the soldiers from the Field Bishop of the Polish Army, Józef Guzdek.
After the chaplain’s address, the commander of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade invited everyone gathered to share the traditional Easter egg and exchange good wishes.
