In connection with the long weekend, the Lower Silesian police conducted the “June Weekend” operation. Police officers mainly checked drivers’ sobriety, the technical condition of vehicles, whether travelers were wearing seat belts, and whether drivers were exceeding the speed limit. Over the past few days, the Lower Silesian police recorded 27 road accidents, in which 2 people died and 42 were injured. They also detained 475 drunk drivers.
