On March 9, from the early morning hours, officers from the Zgorzelec traffic police conducted the “Sober Morning” operation. After 7:00 a.m., in Radomierzyce, police officers stopped a minibus for a roadside inspection. In addition to the driver, students and their caregiver were travelling in the vehicle. During the inspection, it turned out that the driver had more than 0.5 per mille of alcohol in his system.
Students from Bogatynia Municipality were travelling to schools in Zgorzelec. Unfortunately, they had to wait for another driver.
The 63-year-old faces up to two years in prison.
