On Monday, we reported that a 21-year-old man suspected of attempting a burglary had been apprehended by police. The incident took place on January 31. The duty officer at the Lubin police headquarters received information that someone was trying to break into one of the flower shops. A police patrol immediately went to the scene. The officers noticed a young man who, after breaking the shop window, was inside the store.
The 21-year-old from Polkowice was arrested. The man told the officers that he had broken in not for money, but for... flowers. He explained that he wanted to use them to thank the medical staff at one of the hospitals for their care.
As it turned out, the resident of Polkowice did not intend to stop there. On February 2, after 1 a.m., the man was again caught red-handed by police officers. Only this time... in Polkowice, where he was trying to break into a store.
Moreover, it came to light that the man had several attempted burglaries and break-ins at various commercial premises in Polkowice to his name, including a jewelry store.
The arrested man still faces up to 10 years in prison.
