A 35-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra committed at least eight thefts between the end of December and January. The woman stole... baby strollers left in stairwells. The victims’ total losses amount to several thousand złoty.
The suspect was arrested. Police established that the 35-year-old abandoned the stolen strollers next to rubbish bins in various parts of the city. What is more, two additional strollers were found in her apartment—so there will be no surprise here—which the woman had received for free from mothers who no longer needed them (the woman from Jelenia Góra had posted advertisements on online portals saying that she would gladly accept baby strollers).
The arrested woman confessed to the crime. She now faces a sentence of up to five years in prison.
