Office employees organized another meeting, held on 15 December at a branch of the Legnica Public Library on Pomorska Street. The discussion focused on the new rules for municipal waste management introduced under the slogan “Legnica segregates”.
Participants were particularly interested in the selective collection of waste. They asked about ways of handling problematic waste, such as expired medicines, biowaste, and used electrical and electronic equipment.
The seniors learned how the Regional Municipal Waste Processing Facility operates and what types of waste can be taken to Selective Waste Collection Points.
The office plans to organize further meetings in the “Legnica segregates” series for senior communities, as well as for young people.
