Police officers from Lubin and Ścinawa established that stolen cars might be being dismantled in one of the localities in Lubin County. When the officers entered the indicated property, they found a dismantled Audi A6 with a market value of over PLN 40,000. A 21-year-old man was also detained and charged with handling stolen goods.
This detention was the result of a previous case investigated by officers from our county. At the beginning of November, officers detained a 33-year-old man in whose possession they found a stolen car worth over PLN 70,000. The man was also charged with handling stolen goods.
The police, however, continued working on the case. They established that the car had been stolen in Germany by two residents of Lubin County, aged 25 and 27. Both were detained, and one of them was temporarily remanded in custody by the court.
They face up to five years in prison.
