The incident took place on September 9. At around 2:00 p.m., a red Ford Escort pulled up to one of the gas stations in Lubin’s D estate. Its driver filled up with nearly PLN 200 worth of fuel. However, he did not intend to pay for it, so he got behind the wheel and tried to drive away from the scene. A gas station employee attempted to stop him. He was hit.

Lubin police officers took up the case. The officers identified the suspect. He turned out to be a 38-year-old man from Polkowice. The man confessed. Police supervision was imposed on him. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
