The crime took place during the night of October 28–29. Three residents of Lubin, aged 21, 31 and 40, broke into one of the parish houses in Lubin. They stole two bicycles and a grill, then rode away from the scene on the stolen bicycles. The losses were estimated at approximately PLN 5,000.
The perpetrators were arrested. All three were taken into police custody. The police recovered the stolen property.
It turned out that the 21-year-old worked on the premises of the parish he robbed. He had previously taken metal items from there and sold them at a scrap-metal collection point.
The 21-, 31- and 40-year-olds now face up to 10 years in prison. In addition, the 21-year-old and his cohabiting partner were also charged with handling stolen goods; the woman helped her partner hide the stolen items.
