The incident took place on 11 October this year, at approximately 9:00 p.m. After the Polonia Świdnica – Karkonosze Jelenia Góra match, hooligans supporting the Jelenia Góra club attacked police officers guarding the exit from the stadium for Polonia Świdnica fans. Stones, rubble and other objects were thrown at the officers.
The first of the hooligans was arrested on 28 October. He is a 26-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County who has also committed other offences, including assaulting a 24-year-old man (on 26 September).
The man admitted both to the assault and to violating the bodily integrity of the officers. He now faces up to three years in prison.
