Jeleniogórscy police officers detained a 39-year-old man who, on October 22 at around 6:30 p.m., attacked a 13-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra, knocked him to the ground and struck him in the face with his fists, demanding that he hand over his phone and money. Despite his injuries, the victim did not comply with the attacker’s demands. Seeing the teenager’s determination, the man left the scene.
Nevertheless, shortly afterward the man attacked another person—a 12-year-old girl from Jelenia Góra. He struggled with her and snatched the phone from her hand, then destroyed it by throwing it onto the ground. The girl’s parents estimated the losses at PLN 450.
The man was taken into police custody. He now faces up to 12 years in prison.
