Officers from Zgorzelec detained two Moroccan citizens at a petrol station near Jędrzychowice. The foreigners did not have the required documents and had crossed the border in breach of regulations.

It was established that they had first entered Spain illegally, where they stayed for several months, and then travelled to France. They now wanted to get to Germany, so they boarded the trailer of a truck with German registration plates and hid among the cargo.

During a stop—mistakenly believing that they had reached their destination—they got out of the trailer and... were detained.

Moreover, the Zgorzelec Border Guard officers, serving as part of the pilot project of the Joint German-Polish Facility in Ludwigsdorf, took part in the detention of two Mongolian citizens who had used fraudulently obtained visas.
