Uniformed officers from Zawidów dismantled a marijuana plantation in one of the localities in the county. Nearly 80 plants (seedlings and young plants) were seized. It was estimated that if each of them grew to 2 metres, they could have yielded—quite remarkably!—50,000 portions of marijuana.
The officers also arrested a 51-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County, who owned the premises where the cannabis was being cultivated. He faces up to 8 years in prison.
