For the safety of road users, officers from the Traffic Division of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec ask residents of Bolesławiec County and people travelling on roads in our county to report locations and road elements that may pose a danger.
Officers will soon conduct a comprehensive inspection of the condition of roads in Bolesławiec County.
The officers ask for information concerning:
- inconsistent vertical and horizontal road markings
- speed limits that are unjustified by the conditions
- safety hazards for vulnerable road users (pedestrians and cyclists)
- incorrect and illegible railway-crossing signage
- incorrect or unnecessary signage (e.g. left over after completed roadworks)
- illegible signage (e.g. damaged or obscured by bushes, trees or advertising boards improperly placed within the road reserve)
- the absence of pavements, particularly in towns and villages through which national and voivodeship roads run
- hazards posed to road users by trees growing along the road shoulders
- the condition of road surfaces.
